Uttar Pradesh has three State Agriculture Universities (SAUs) with their 42 various research stations, 1 Veterinary University, 1 deemed Agricultural University, 25 Non-SAUs Agriculture Colleges, 29 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), 34 Krishi Gyan Kendras (KGKs), 10 Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) institutes, one National Bureau, 2 ICAR Project Directorates, 4 National Research Centres (NRC), 12 Regional Research Stations (RRS), 5 institutes of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), 14 All India Co-ordinated Research Projects (AICRP) units, one Zonal Co-ordinating Unit, and 6 other Agricultural Research and Education Centres are running in the State.
